CNSS Re-certifies the Infosec Curriculum at Florida State University

NSTISSI-4014, National Training Standard for Information Systems Security Officers (ISSO) NSTISSI-4011, National Training Standard for Information Systems Security (INFOSEC) Professionals
The Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS) re-certified FSU to offer the professional standards: NSTISSI 4011 for Information Systems Security Professionals, and CNSS 4014 for Information Security Officers. Institutions that are designated as NSA Centers of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education (CAEIAE) must have mapped their Information Assurance curricula to the CNSS standards.
Designating institutions as meeting the curriculum requirements for a CAEIAE certifies that the curriculum meets a minimum set of security requirements. Schools that successfully map their courses to the CNSS standards are assured to teach certain security concepts and practices to the specified standard.
